22 Tools to Help Make Content Marketing Easier

I’ve been collecting lists of tools I want to try. My list of content writing and marketing tools is below. I included a little bit of information after each.

Warning: A list like this can be overwhelming. (It certainly intimidates me.) If you find yourself not knowing where to start, look at your marketing plan/strategy and figure out what the NEXT thing is that you need to start or improve. Select and research up to three tools, then choose one to try for a month.

Content Creation Tools

  1. Adobe Creative Suite – This is neither budget- nor user-friendly. However, it’s got everything you need to create content once you know how to use it.
  2. Canva – Create eye-popping visuals from templates, very user-friendly
  3. Paint.net – free image editing/creation, includes some nifty effects (clunky, but it works for simple stuff)
  4. SlideShare – Create effective slideshow, be showcased on LinkedIn and when visitors search for the slideshow’s topic(s)
  5. Hootsuite – Manage and schedule social media and collect insights from engagement
  6. Buffer – Manage and schedule social media and collect insights from engagement
  7. Filmora / Wondershare – simple video editing/creation, not free
  8. Social Message Optimizer from Coschedule: Analyzes social media posts to see what will get engagement, https://coschedule.com/social-message-optimizer
  9. SendinBlue – Customizable landing pages
  10. Google Ads Scripts – automate bidding rules, keyword performance, track ad quality. Note: You need a beginner level understanding of Java scripting.
  11. Apps that automatically enter in captions to video along with other effects
    a. Funimate Video Effects Editor
    b. Magisto Video Editor & Maker
    c. Quik – Free Video Editor
  12. Streak in Gmail – drip campaign tool
  13. Buzzsumo – shows what influencers are sharing in certain topics and what else they talk about… that’s what they care about; put in a term and it shows all the related keywords plus questions related to that term
  14. Keywords Everywhere – gives you keyword results
  15. Kparser.com – put in a term and it gives you all the related terms around it separated from YouTube, Google, Yahoo News, Duck Duck Go
  16. SEMRush – put in a term and it shows all the related keywords plus questions related to that term
  17. Storybase – gives you data on people asking questions around keyword terms
  18. Pixler – free, easy cropping
  19. Remove.bg – getting rid of backgrounds, makes transparent backgrounds
  20. Snappa.com – similar to Canva, graphics that are more interesting
  21. Recordit.co – takes screen recordings, makes GIFs that you can download
  22. Lumens.com – quickly make videos for social media
